Safe Step Walk In Tub

Back in the day, baths were not designed for comfort, but instead were just there to get the job of washing done. No one really luxuriated in bath chairs for the elderly. They got in the tub, washed up and got out - similar to our showering habits of today. People also did not safe step walk in tub every day and in some countries there were laws that dictated when we could bathe. A lot has changed since then, and with the introduction of the shower head to the bath tub, people are able to wash every day. But we still love the relaxation that a handicap tub offers. Nowadays, everything from Jacuzzi style tubs to small corner bathtubs offer great variety in our choices for a tub. A bath is now a treat to pamper ourselves when we have some time for ourselves.

There are several safe step walk in tub that are available for most accessible bath quality. A swivel chair is one of the most common, making it much easier to get your body in and out of the tub. Many people use a bath lift, so they can take a bath independently, but they are also very popular among caregivers. If you are a caregiver, you probably want to ensure that the lift has a belt and chest restraint. This ensures that your congregation does not fall during the bath. Most also have heavy duty shower chair available that provides better head and neck.

These safe step walk in tub typically sell for $3000 or more plus installation. A typical installation of one of these tubs involves removal of the original tub and remodeling the bath room. The installation will take several days to complete in a workman like manner. It is not unusual for the final cost to be from $6000-9000.

Until recently, bathtubs disability has been found mainly in safe step walk in tub or extended care facilities. These models were large, expensive, and still need an entity formed to help care for the patient. Advances in composite materials design and safety have to have a secure, bathlift industrial quality at home, which can be activated by the patient without the use of an entity or an assistant caregiver.

  1. Hmm, so much models and features I haven't heard about yet. I prefer smth less complex. Usually I use a shower seat and that's enough to alleviate my difficulties.
